We have had some very unreliable internet at Cradle Mountain. If this blog gets off track - just blame the internet - I have trouble typing and editing before I save it, and then I can't get a connectiuon for hours. It means all my typos and spelling mistakes are exposed for you to laugh at. Very annoying!!
I will rehash on yesterdays' adventure. Just a hint.............when the sign says 'Caution - track steep and rough' - believe it and don't venture anywhere near it.
This is the peak we got to the top of - the highest point about the centre of the picture.
These are some crazy people who made it to the top.
We decided (Pam decided...) to do the easy walk around Dove Lake today. It was a little harder than we thought, but much easier than the Marions Lookout incident.
First stop - Glacier Rock - a couple photos with (you guessed it) Cradle Mountain in the background.
Pam thinking of ending it all at Glacier Rock.
Dove Lake Boat Shed from the rock.
Here's a group of photos showing the walk around Dove Lake. Nice walking with so many beautiful little beaches and boardwalks.

Waterfall on the walk around the Lake.

This afternoon we were in no condition to put one foot in front of the other. We did a 200 metre walk (Enchanted Walk). Took us about an hour as we crawled around the boardwalk. Another waterfall on the walk, great stream that must be full of platypus, eel and trout, we had a little trouble spotting any but are comfortable in the knowledge that they live there quite comfortably with us spying on them.
After all the wombats in Tasmania have avoided us in the last couple of days, this one wandered up to us near the visitors centre and didn't seem to worry at all about the 40 photos we took of it.
Met up with the Mcgills tonight at the visitors centre and had one beer, maybe two. Blogging now and hopefully the internet will hold out until I finish.
Off to Strahan tomorrow. See you then. Vernon/Pam
Looks like you 2 are having fun(I think). We will have to go back and do some of your walks.Stay save Tim and Linda XX
